Ember Chambers
Ember Chambers is a short puzzle demo about shaping the right burn across 10 levels.
Open valves, mix gases, and ignite the chamber to burn all plugs.
Controls
- Click valves to open them.
- Click a mixture to ignite it.
- Z to undo.
- R to retry.
I’m especially interested in feedback on puzzle clarity, difficulty curve, visuals, and sound.

Just cleared all the levels! That was very entertaining but I felt that your other two puzzle games were much more strong, entertaining, and fun to play. It does feel more of a "try things until it works" more than a "think through the game plan and execute" which slightly takes away from feeling like I actually beat the level. However, that is my opinion and it was still fun nontheless, I enjoyed listening to the music while I played!
Level 1-3 I wasn't really sure what was happening game mechanics-wise and only figured it out after.
Level 7 was indeed the hardest out of all the levels, I definitely trial-and-errored through it and I'm not sure I could beat it again if I tried again. I feel that it would be better as level 8/9, as I know you prefer to keep level 9/10 the most fun.
For me, Spark Relay was the most memorable and most interesting game. Lattice weave comes next as a typical puzzle experience with a new twist, and then this one.
Great games!!
I just spent some time playing, and I really enjoyed it! The graphics and sound design are beautiful and clear. Unfortunately I'm hopelessly stuck at lvl 07, so either I'm missing something obvious or there's a pretty sharp difficulty spike there. Any hints would be welcome :)
I have some minor feedback regarding clarity. For the first few levels, I didn't realise that the black things were things that needed to be burnt (despite lvl 2 saying "burn all plugs"). I assumed that I just needed to cause a combustion in every room. I only realised my mistake in lvl 3. I think it could be more explicitly stated, and perhaps accompanied with a more salient animation of the plugs burning.
Thank you, this is really helpful!
I added more hint text around level 3 to make it clearer that fire burns plugs it touches.
For level 7, I also added a hint that it uses ideas from the last two levels: burn deeply on one side first, then use the level 5-style pattern and burn-through on the other side.
Thanks again for playing!
here to say exactly the same! I could have written this comment cause I had the exact same experience (stuck at level 7 too). I'm playing on my iPad and think it could make a very cool mobile game!
